Kristen Harris (UT, Austin), Lead PI for the NeuroNex2 Network award, will conduct a workshop at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), in Austin, from May 22-26. This in-person workshop will bring in subject matter experts (SME)/programmers and users to conduct interactive, hands-on sessions between users and developers. Prediction Benchmark Challenge

Baylor College of Medicine, together with University Göttingen and University Tübingen in Germany, are hosting a competition to predict neurons in mouse primary visual cortex at this year’s NeurIPS conference. The Benchmark challenge will rank models based on predictive performance for neuronal responses on a held-out test set, and includes the release of several datasets from mouse visual cortex with more that 28,000 neurons in total. The competition is already ongoing and accepts submissions to its live leaderboard until 10/15/22.
