Recently, researchers with the NeuroNex project, Communication, Coordination, and Control in Neuromechanical Systems (C3NS) discussed the value of transatlantic research and collaboration at the German embassies in both New York and Washington, D.C. The C3NS project is jointly funded by the National Science Foundation, the German Research Foundation (DFG), as well as Canadian and UK partner organizations. As part of this international effort, the C3NS network brings together modelers, engineers, and experimentalists from Germany, UK, and North America with the goal of exploring how biological nervous systems control and execute interactions with the environment.
