Dibyadeep Datta, a postdoctoral researcher in Amy Arnsten’s lab at Yale University, received the Brain Sciences 2022 Young Investigator Award, a prestigious award for early career investigators in the field of neuroscience. Arnsten is the Principal Investigator on the NeuroNex Project, The Fabric of the Primate Neocortex and the Origin of Mental Representations. 

"It is a huge honor to be selected to receive the Brain Sciences Young Investigator Award and I am extremely appreciative that the translational ramifications of our research has been acknowledged," says Datta. "The recognition is particularly important at a critical juncture in my career as I am preparing to transition to independence. I am extremely grateful to all my collaborators, colleagues and lab members who have been invaluable in my success."  

Datta, one of three researchers to receive the award, is an Associate Research Scientist in Yale Medical School's Department of Neuroscience. As reported by Brain Sciences, Datta's overarching research focus is to elucidate the molecular alterations and understand the etiology underlying the neurobiology of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders that contribute to cognitive dysfunction.
